A loyalty shop built around the people who use it
VeiligGoed is a leading supplier of personal protective equipment, footwear and workwear with more than 50 years of experience in the market. With 3,200 customers across sectors like maritime, offshore, metal, construction, installation and logistics, they know what professional buyers need. Customers include Van Oord, Heijmans, Damen Shipyards, Heras, Boskalis, TBI, HVC and Waterschap Hollandse Delta.
A shop with its own logic
VeiligGoed runs a programme that allows the employees of their customers to order personal protective equipment through a dedicated shop. No invoices, no payment. Employees work with personal budgets in the form of credits, assigned at company level and managed within defined limits per product group and per period.
That changes the dynamic. The shop is not about price. It is about getting the right product to the right person, within the right budget.
Every user sees their own shop
The platform is fully personalised. Each company, location, function group and individual employee gets their own environment, with access to exactly the products they are authorised to order. Nothing more, nothing less.
The authorisation model is managed by Veilig Goed on the basis of input from the customer. Administrators, managers and team leads each have their own level of access. Orders can be subject to manual approval by management, or processed automatically based on predefined limits. In practice, the fully automated route is becoming the norm.
Each employee has a complete overview of the products currently in use, including purchase date, last inspection date and expected lifespan per item.
Connected to the processes around it
The platform connects to a range of services that are part of how Veilig Goed operates. Think laundry planning, printing, weaving and inspection processes related to safety standards. When an item no longer meets the required standard, a notification is triggered. Depending on the agreement with the customer, the item is then automatically replaced or taken out of use.
HRM connections, including AFAS, ensure that onboarding and offboarding are automatically reflected in the authorisation model at employee level. Order processing, returns and stock management are fully automated. The platform supports multiple warehouses, suppliers and external stock from Veilig Goed's own supplier network.
Findability as the foundation
Whether someone searches by specification, brand or size, they find what they need directly. The same search logic that drives performance in a regular webshop applies here. The currency is different. The need for speed and precision is not.
What makes it distinctive
The combination of a complex authorisation model and a flexible budget system is what sets Veilig Goed apart in the market. It is a platform built around the reality of how their customers work, and a key factor behind their continued growth.
The result is a platform that puts the right product in front of the right person, every time. And keeps it there within the boundaries that matter.
